House Unfolds into Theater

open house theater -York AL

I ran across this video on Architechnophilia, it shows what some inspired designers are doing to improve communities in which they are involved. An abandoned house has been salvaged to become an outdoor theater for the town of York, Alabama. The project was spearheaded by artist Matthew Mazzotta. The intro of the video shows how this unique icon house/sculpture opens into a 100 seat theater. So even if you don’t watch the whole video you will understand the basic project.
