Legoland Florida is taking the next step in making itself a multi-day destination with plans for a new four-story hotel property. The hotel is reportedly set to open in 2015 with 152 rooms.
The Lego-themed hotel will be located on-site at the park, which opened in 2011. The hotel is reportedly expected to be located on the western side of the park with a view of Lake Eloise.
Back in September, David Johnson, COO of Legoland Florida, said a hotel was in the works. “We opened the property in 2011, and we continue to best each year. We have an overall drive to build and operate a hotel in Winter Haven,” he told me.
The typical size of Legoland hotels is about 200 rooms.
