Phil Kean named NAHB Custom Home Builder of the Year

Phil Kean, Architect, owner of Winter Park-based Phil Kean Designs, was named the National Association of Home Builders’ Custom Home Builder of the Year.
The award recognizes the professional achievement of a builder who creates exceptional custom homes and demonstrates positive leadership in the industry and his or her local community.
Kean’s company, founded in 2002, is one of the largest privately held companies in Central Florida. A key component of that success, Kean said, is his willingness to incorporate designs from every corner of the world. In fact, about half of his clients are from outside the United States, and he has designed and built houses in the Bahamas and West Africa.
He was also named Orlando Business Journal’s 2012 Business Owner of the Year.
