Reef Suggests Forms for Green Architecture

While observing the shapes of coral which grow on a reef, it occurred to me that these structures fan out to maximize exposure, to currents, and sometimes light. Architecture trying to maximize daylight, and wind energy could take a few lessons from the natural growth of the coral colonies.
