Another of last year’s award winning designs is the Seminole State College Building Renovations, Sanford, Florida, one of the images featured on our blog cover photo. While the original scope of the project was reduced, the project enclosed a number of exterior walks and stairs which allows students to now avoid changing classes in the rain and heat, other areas have elegant shading screens to at least block the hot Florida sun. It received the AWARD OF HONOR, designed by HuntonBrady Architects of Orlando, Florida. The project improved circulation on the campus.
The independent Jury said: “A lot of opportunity for natural light. Clarity of the diagram.”
