About the Artist
Melanie Crownover is a mixed media artist with a current obsession for scrap wood, saws, molding paste, and wood burning. While she has spent her career in advertising and marketing, Melanie continues to carve her own artistic path experimenting with different types of media and materials to create mixed media works. Melanie is drawn to mixed media because it has endless possibilities and challenges her imagination to create depth and detail. Each layer transforms the piece and invites viewers to look closer, dig deeper and discover more.
